This is a project that actually walks the walk of the so-called "New Urbanism." There has been a lot of architectural talk in recent years about communities that try to re-create the convenience and ambiance of traditional villages or towns as they grew and evolved. The Gables at Delmar is situated at the "Four Corners" in the heart of Delmar and will feel like an integral part of this lively, historical Hamlet. There are precious few suburban locations in the Capital Region where you can stroll the sidewalks to this many interesting stores, a Library, the Town Hall, restaurants and schools.
Delmar has an amazing inventory of Victorians, Bungalows, Colonials, as well as a seemingly endless supply of inventive and original combinations. We've drawn freely from local history and craftsmanship in the design of porches, windows, trim and siding to help develop the open floor plans, clean lines and varied massing of the new designs. The Gables will fit in as a natural part of the fabric of Delmar and its residents will be able to enjoy the opportunity to live the true urban life "walking the walk" of life in the Hamlet.
